What would you like to know?

The UAE labour law is mostly the same for men and women. The significant exceptions are to do with:

1. Maternity leave.
2. Working hours at night.
3. Some job categories. For example men cannot be nannies, maids, or nursery school teachers. Women cannot be construction workers, barbers, or shawarma chefs (at least I've never had a female prepare a shawarma for me).
4. Women cannot generally sponsor their families but there are exceptions, usually for professional or high salary jobs. Possibly for single mothers on medium or higher salaries.

The visa process is the same for men and women. Sometimes there are female only queues which are quicker. Maids and other female servant visa employees get a pregnancy test as part of their visa application.
