I recently registered my CV with for job interests in Dubai and received an email from them to register my CV for a free Appraisal on and so I did. Then I got a call from one of their consultant who introduced himself as "Daniel". He said he would call me in the morning the following day and he would be sending me details via email; I never got the email nor received a call from him.
When I called GulfCVSpecialists on a local number and asked a few questions one of the customer service agents based in India told me I would have to pay $498.00 to format my CV the Dubai style.

Is and an employment scam? Can you check them out please.

Teleport My Job

Postby shawarma » 13 Mar 2009, 12:57

Hello cocobelle and welcome to the Dubai Forums :).

I have no personal experience of Teleport My Job ( but a quick surf through The Google reveals a large number of unhappy job hunters dissatisfied with Teleport My Jobs, and many calling it a scam. Any company that wants money from the employee looking for a job is one I'd stay away from (and it's illegal in the UAE anyway), although rewriting a CV is something different that could be chargeable. Here's more about working in Dubai, and here's a topic I've started about

I just spent 2 hours registering with , and nowhere in the process did they mention services fees.
I even sent a query before completing the registration about there job bank and was told it was extensive and easy to search. I did not find any job bank.

They are very misleading and I would not spend any money on them.

Hi Everyone,

Teleportmyjob is not a great company. I paid them $100. They said they would format my CV for which I had to fill out few questionnaires. That was ok. But they also promised me that they would send me 100 jobs of my preference in 2 months which they were not able to do. I was still flexible with them and they said they will send me 100 jobs in 4-5 months and I agreed to this as well. But they have again failed to send jobs and despite sending them mails repeatedly they have not sent me any jobs and are not at all professional.
So I would recommend anybody who is looking for jobs, not to pay anything to any recruitment company. You can tell them that you will pay them only once you get a job and receive your 1st salary. After the recession a lot of companies have started a business by taking money from people looking for jobs and promising them "too good to be true" job offers and eventually never provide them with anything.
Also send CVs to direct companies who are offering jobs.

I signed up for them. It took ages for them to provide me woth my CV, nearly 3 weeks. All seemed above board, but very slow. I eventually got about 18 jobs sent through, which their job manager supposedly applied for on my behalf. The job manager was assigned to me for 1 month. During this month I recieved no feedback on the jobs I had applied for. However after the month had expired lo and behold i start getting feedback. However to view the feedback I have to pay them another $49 for another month. Personally I would not go any where near them again. I got burned for a couple of hundred quid. Granted they supplied letters and CV;s suitable for the Middle East, but really you get very little out of it for your investment.

Looking at what they have sent me they are either ignorant of the law or wilfully disobeying it.

I had an email from them today saying they had matched me with director jobs in the USA. Great. Unfortunately when I sent them an email with questions about residency, it bounced from a "full" mailbox.

My advice is to use agencies that do not charge fees. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I think careful reading of The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and the Employment Agencies Act 1973 would be a good move for anyone before engaging with

The so called and are the biggest of all the SCAM ever exist and operating in UAE, India and Hongkong.
Please keep away from these two Scammers.
How in the world Cheater companies like these two exist and operate in UAE.

How could a country like UAE allow such SCAM companies to obtain trade license.

I agree, this site's definitely a scam. I subscribed for basic service and it was a sham: only the most junior positions available (I'm an Executive looking for a Managerial role).

The worst was the phone calls. They were calling me 10-12 times every single day, during work hours. Once they called me after midnight, then again at 7AM the next morning! Ridiculous.

I finally cancelled my account and yet they keep on billing me, even though I requested they delete my account and contact information weeks ago. They won't leave me alone!

Avoid this site like the plague!

Wish I'd reviewed all of the above before registering with teleportmyjob. The livechat was a joke seemed to ask me all the same questions that the website did so don't know what benefit that was and also they have only called me during work hours and when I requested them to ring me back after work hours stating which timezone I was in and the time required they completely ignored it and rang me at 10am!! Have only registered last week had 4 roles sent through that are v junior and not what I am looking for. Going back now to cancel my account asap. Fingers crossed I won't have the same trouble in cancelling it!

Hi guys, I am also experiencing similar problems with teleport my job. I'm going too terminate my listing with. I'm just worried that they have been listing my cv on job sites and I won't be able to use these sites again when I try register on them myself. Any tips on how I can handle this?

I have recently been contacted by this group and first thought the person I spoke to was particularly professional. I too am seeking a senior, executive level role in the Gulf but am now not so sure. In response to an hour long conversation ("interview") I have since received an email response in template form which suggests very little effort on their part has been made.

Also, without any warning, at the end of the conversation I was quoted $1500 for their services before they'd do anything further. When I said I would get back to them, their rep even said they'd wait on the phone and alarm bells started to ring. Previous post was correct, any service that attempts to charge job seeker for a service prior to any work being done requires some serious questions be answered.

Iv tried to contact them several times to see if I am liable for a work visa, and just to ask a few questions( well One ) before I part with my money, but there isnt any feed back.
