- What? Art Dubai 2009 (third such event) - an exhibition of contemporary art from 60 different art galleries in the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, the Far East, and Western countries. A total of 30 countries are represented. Also book launches, forums, films, presentations and performances of art stuff, START at Art Dubai activity program for disadvantaged children.

- When? Wednesday - Saturday 18 - 21 March 2009 (full program on Art Dubai website), some events are restricted access. Public viewing 1600-2100 on Thursday, 1400-2100 on Friday, 1000-1800 on Saturday. Vernissage on Wednesday (you can only attend if you know what "vernissage" means)?

Art Dubai on at the same time as the Sharjah Biennial art exhibition
The first Dubai Art Fair in 2007 was called the DIFC Gulf Art Fair with the unfortunate looking domain name of gulfartfair.com which had nothing to do with birds and bad wind though. Perhaps that's why the name was changed to Art Dubai for 2008. The GAF was held from 08 - 10 March 2007 at the Madinat Jumeirah Arena
In 2008 there was an Art Dubai bus taking visitors and residents on art tours of Dubai. No information seen yet about a repeat of that for 2009.
