- SafMus Holdings also owns Moscow island on The World
- Safi Qurashi and Mustafa Nagri are partners in the project
- Mr Qurashi and Mr Mustafa are owners of Premier Real Estate Bureau LLC (PREB?), a Dubai based property agent since 2005, "beachfront specialists" according to their website
- The PREB website says "Premier Real Estate LLC and SafMus Holdings Ltd are proud to announce that they are the owners and developers of Moscow and Great Britain on The World Islands, the unique man-made archipelago off the coast of Dubai."
- Mr Qurashi used to live in Balham in London
- Unknown if the island will have a typical British Pub
- Trying to register on the PREB website returns an error. Hopefully they'll choose a property construction company that's a bit more reliable than their website construction firm
Limited information based on reports in Arabian Business and The National (an Abu Dhabi newspaper), and the Premier REB website 18 January 2009. Previously there was a report that Nakheel had sold the island of Britain / United Kingdom (UK) to an undisclosed buyer. Unknown if SafMus was the undisclosed buyer, or if the island was resold. There were also previous rumours that Richard Branson (denied) or Rod Stewart (unconfirmed) had bought the Great Britain island.
Update: The National report that was online doesn't seem to be available anymore (18 January 2009) "The article requested can not be found!" (thenational.ae/article/20090118/NATIONAL/58423476/1040)
