One Villa, One Family - anti-villa sharing campaign from the Dubai Municipality in 2008. Reading between the lines of recent newspaper reports (January/February 2009), the campaign seems to have fizzled out a bit. The last comments were that villa sharers needed a licence from the DM to be allowed to share, if the villa wasn't already designated as suitable for multi-family occupancy. Which probably means they'd reject licence applications from 4 or 5 single people wanting to share a villa in Jumeirah, but may not be so quick to go and chase them out either. Any other comments about sharing villas in Dubai? Has anyone been thrown out of their villas by the municipality recently? See also other general information about
