The Dubai Employment Board (www.dubaiemploymentboard.com) appears to be a dubious entity. I've never seen it mentioned in the local press as anything, let alone a voice of authority on employment and labour issues.
The Ministry of Labour are in charge of employment related issues in Dubai and the UAE. Dubai Employment Board is not mentioned on the MOL website anywhere I could see.
There may be a connection between the DEB and the questionable www.jobsindubai.com organisation.
See the Jobs in Dubai page on DubaiFAQs.com for more information about employment in Dubai.
There are only 3 recruitment agencies with an 'excellent' rating according to DEB.
www.jobsindubai.com
Lobo Management Services (lobomanagement.com)
SOS Recruitment Consultants (sosrecruitment.net)
All others listed have either 'no ranking' or 'satisfactory'.
As jobsindubai.com is unlikely to deserve a 'satisfactory' rating, let alone an 'excellent' rating (charging job seekers a fee immediately makes it 'poor' in our opinion, and any genuine Dubai employment authority should flag such an organisation as in breach of UAE employment agency rules), it means we now have question marks about SOS and Lobo. SOS is a recruitment agency we originally thought was at least satisfactory, if not good.
Both www.dubaiemploymentboard.com and www.dubaiemploymentagency.com forward to the same website (obviously we're not going to help them out, so the links are back to this topic).
