Spinneys domain spinneys.com expired 09 July 2007 and hasn't been renewed as of 21 July 2007 so Spinneys website is not accessible. Spinneys Abu Dhabi have their own website at spinneys.co.ae which is still ok. The domain spinneys-dubai.com appears to be parking only but is used for Spinneys email contacts. The domain spinneys.ae gives a DNS error - Jul 2007. Spinneys Dubai website still has pages in Google's cache, which look outdated - perhaps a new website is coming.

Spinneys CEO is Jannie C Holtzhausen according to Spinneys Dubai website, and press release about the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) from November 2006 (also referred to as Johannes Holtzhausen or Jannie Holtzhausen)...

Spinneys press releases from 2006/2007 say they have 2 branches in Abu Dhabi but I can only find reference to one in Khalidiya. There was apparently one in Al Ain which closed in 2004, and I've seen there was another one in Abu Dhabi somewhere that apparently closed before 2000.

There's also a reference to a Sharjah Spinneys in Al Tawun Mall (Al Taawun Mall)?

The second Spinneys in Abu Dhabi is a small shop in Mussafah. There are also a few liquor stores.

I've seen a reference to Al Hamra Shopping Mall in Ras Al Khaimah that there would be a Spinneys supermarket there. RAK residents should be happy about that news. But can anyone confirm that? Spinneys info at DubaiFAQs has been tentatively updated with RAK Spinneys info.

The Al Hamra Mall website has very little information, and I can't find any other reference to it. Spinneys websites have no information (on any of their stores, let alone new ones) .

There was a press release in November 2007 about the opening of Spinneys Souk Al Bahar, in The Old Town area of Downtown Burj Dubai - the 29th Spinneys store (a Spinneys Market, which is a smaller version of the normal Spinneys supermarkets). The shop is downstairs / Level 2 near the car park, and includes a pork section.

Apparently there were 6 new Spinneys stores open in 2007, and another 4 scheduled for opening in early 2008. If anyone knows of any stores not included in the Spinneys information page please reply here, included contact details and opening hours if you know them. Thanks . Here's my guess as to the new openings:

Spinneys Ras Al Khaimah opened in the Al Hamra Mall April 2008 (on the main coast road, opposite RAK Ceramics).
