SES Sharjah - Dubai FAQs info.

Sharjah's oldest English speaking school (started in 1974). Claims to be a non-profit charitable organisation. Fees seem high though in that case - maybe to pay for new building and/or huge teacher salaries . Old website comes up first in Google search - they really should remove that. New website is difficult to find.

29 March 2005 - press release from SES says that foundation stone for new SES campus was laid. School will expand from primary school to primary + secondary (Sharjah English College). New school location near Sharjah University City on land donated by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, the Ruler of Sharjah. New premises scheduled to be ready September 2005 (fast work!) for initial batch of secondary school students, with a new primary school to be completed at a later date. Headmaster of SES is Mr George Savage according to press release.

Headteacher of primary school is now Jenefer Race (is that the correct spelling - not Jennifer Race?) according to SES website (checked August 2008). Previous head of both SES and SEC was Bob Malone, who is now head of the new Yasmina School in Abu Dhabi.

SES website does not have school fees for 2008-2009 but a report in The National on 31 August 2008 said Foundation Year fees increased 53% from Dh 12,390 to Dh 19,000.
