Program schedule will include 146 films from 25 different countries (mostly in the Middle East), 90% of films are premiering at the Gulf Film Festival according to a press release 06 April 2008.
Gulf Film Festival competitions
1. The Film Competition - has 2 categories. One for Gulf nationality professionals making feature films, short films or documentaries. The other category for Gulf Nationality students making short films or documentaries.
2. The Script Competition - open for Emirati short films only.
Prizes worth 10,000-50,000 dirhams.
