I have been sending my children to the AFLEC for the past 4 years, despite the attitude of the management and the lack of facilities available at the the school, however it is one of only three French schools and they have a monopoly that allowed them to take the parents for a ride.
The school has been using the facilities of Alnasr club for the past 4 years and we have been waiting for their promise that a new school complex will be constructed soon?!.. what broke the camel's back is that the school year started on the 2nd of september and to our surprise they have not managed to arrange for the transportation for the children. They have claimed that the company that they have contracted was not able to get the drivers as they are on vacation for Ramadan?!? and we had to leave our work everyday to drop off and pick up the children during Ramadan timing which meant that we are only able to work for 3 hours as we have to leave office at 1 to be able to collect them at 2. We were patient enough to accept the excuse of the management and hope that they will keep their promise and provide transportation after eid. To our aurprise, AGAIN, they are now telling us that they company is not able to get the drivers as they are still on vacation and we have to wait for another month until they find a solution. (I do not understand on what basis they have selected a transportation company that does not have drivers!!!). All this is happening while the management attitude is that they are not responsible for the mess they have put all the parents in and the disruption to our lives and the kids education.
This is difinatly not the attitude of a respectful institution that is representing the French Eductional System which we have chosen for the eductaion of our children.
I urge the French Embassy and the Education Ministry to act and excert some presure on the school's management to start delivering on the promises they have made and give some respect to the people that have entrusted them with their children.

It's been 2 months all schools have begin, still only this school AFLEC not yet providing transportation for the students. Despite that the parents are making themselves drivers for that school and they are spending most of their time on Dubai roads in the traffic, leaving the work 3 hours a day, the management of that school is not respecting the parents in a way that they never listen or care for any parent's recommendation.
Actually Al Nasr Club is not designed to be a school and as Mr. Rashid previously stated about the promise of a new school complex, we understood lately from the director of the school that the aforementioned project will not be processed and new extension will be on the land of Al Nasr, bearing in mind that already a new extension has been added to the school and I'm asking the Ministry Of Education to kindly go and check that new department located in a country of technology and huge projects and highest towers worldwide like Dubai. It's a shame for the Ministry of Education to admit and accept naming that department a SCHOOL since there are no playgrounds for the kids to play, no laboratories, no theater, all conduits and wires are not embedded in walls, not any wall is straight... A school should have special specifications, requirements & facilities and not just some walls built to make classes.
I would like to add that the management of that school has not grown as per the school growth. Instead of 2 classes of each section 2 years ago, this year we have 5 classes with no capability to manage the big number of students, teachers, classes, even books. Furthermore , no security for the students and their parents has been managed on the school entrance and internal roads specially that all parents are making their cars a bus to pick up 3 to 5 students every day.
I, at amy turn, urge the French Embassy and the Ministry Of Education to push the school delivering the new complex and giving some respect to the parents.

Can you give me any insight in to the French Schools In Dubai as we would prefer them to go to one of them however I cannot find any good reports ? My children are 3,4,9,11,12 ! is it still really difficul to secure places
Thanks
